    I often scroll through the comments on some posts just to see what’s happening and it just bothers me. I understand your frustration with dating and the amount of guys who just got don’t really understand that the shit they’re asking for in a romantic partner is not even realistic, but to stew in a subreddit full of animosity doesn’t seem productive. On a base level, much of Female Dating Strategy’s advice makes sense.

Their top post on the new FDS forum outlines their reasons for leaving Reddit and currently has over 43,000 views and 234 comments. Though many users appreciated the convenience of FDS being on Reddit, a large contingent of their supporters appears to have made the migration with them.

    In addition to the threats, mods say they were often sent graphic material including dick picks, AOC deep fakes, Nazi hentai, sissy porn, and child sexual abuse material. Because of the nature of the content they were forced to confront, Lilith describes being an FDS moderator as “traumatizing.” The experience led to regular burnout among the mod team, and FDS mods rarely lasted longer than six months. At a certain point, the mods realized they couldn’t step back and ask other women to take on this work. At the end of the day, it’s a subreddit for women and I understand.

    According to its anonymous founders, FDS was created to counter the misogyny of the manosphere. It wanted to offer women practical advice to deal with growing hostility from the men’s rights movement, while also building their self-esteem so they can thrive in an oppressively patriarchal society. On first scroll, Female Dating Strategy looks like any other straight women’s self-help site.

    R/Pregnancy and r/PCOS were both targeted by trans activists and taken over by men. Female Dating Strategy offers women a system to survive modern dating through a focus on self-growth (“leveling up”), avoiding men with red flags (“vetting”), and taking control of their relationships. FDS recognizes that women currently exist in patriarchy and that this is unlikely to change for generations. Given that reality, they aim to provide women with tools to end up in happy, fulfilling relationships that bring value to their lives or to forgo them altogether. The alternative is ending up in a relationship that brings a woman down, or worse, becomes dangerous and potentially deadly. The FDS worldview sees dating men as a bleak, zero-sum game.

    Female Dating Strategy (FDS) is a terrible subreddit

    The FDS subreddit also specifies that only biological “females” are allowed to post, and says that “if you’ve got an XY, don’t reply”. Needless to say, FDS is divisive, and not just among men’s rights activists. Many of their views come across as simplistic, strange and mean-spirited. Women are told not to date any man with a mental illness, for example, or anyone struggling with their finances. One-night-stands are a no-no, as are men with small penises.

    They seem to have the same general mindset as male incels, except regarding men instead of women. They think men should kiss the ground at women’s feet but women don’t need to do a thing for men, ever. They are unbelievably judgemental regarding men but hate men judging them in turn.

    Between its bright pink borders, you’ll see a selection of #empowering memes, a bustling advice forum and articles on getting over heartbreak. You’ll see “Women Don’t Owe You Shit” slogans and pastel-coloured platitudes about becoming your “best self”. It isn’t just appearances that women should tailor for men, according to FDS. “If you’re morbidly obese, struggling with untreated mental illness, and just got fired from your Wal-Mart job, your energy is probably best spent on bettering yourself and your circumstances rather than dating,” writes another user.

    The most odd set of hypocrites was the cheaters sub-reddit. Never in my life have I seen a group of people talk themselves up while simultaneously, subconsciously, admitting they are garbage people and have no clue what they are doing. Worth a look if for nothing else than go to see what the average guy is up against in the dating scene.

    Or just by being women in shit jobs, never got enough income to provide for retirement. There was only one sane comment, saying that it’s gross that he is willing to break up with her because she won’t have sex without a serious commitment. I’ve had the opposite experience, where doctors been unwilling to give my psychological symptoms a diagnosis because they felt a label might be damaging.

    Some people do need their medication to function (as in perform basic necessities such as personal hygiene, eating and drinking etc.) and in fact drugs do work the best for people who are doing the worst. And the whole “it’s ok as long as it’s a good time” mantra. It’s a tactic frequently used by PUAs and I honestly would next a guy that ADMITS to dating several ladies.

    I think theres a risk that it would become easier to date a guy youre not fully into for the things he gives you than aspire to find a relationship you would be truly into and truly afraid to lose. For me a major part of leveling up includes learning to stop dating guys im not really into because im really afraid of rejection from men i find truly attractive or that i can feel a potential to have a deep emotional connection with them. I think many pickmes are so into improving subpar guys because women are indoctrinated to see ourselves always as less good and undeserving of the men we really want.
