    ‘Dawson’s Creek': Pacey And Joey’s Love Story Began Because Of The Actors’ ‘Instant Chemistry’

    Bessie learns about Joey’s pregnancy scare and argues with her, claiming she is not ready to have a baby if she is pregnant and that she has an immature boyfriend. Joey defends herself by saying that whatever happens in her life will be different compared to Bessie’s path to early motherhood. Joey learns from a pregnancy test that she is not pregnant, but the situation draws the sisters closer together. When Joey finally reaches Pacey on the phone, she doesn’t tell him about the pregnancy scare, while he does not tell her about his arrest.

He describes «other Joey» as «the carefree girl who knows how to drink, and play strip poker, and go away on a sailboat for a summer», and in other words, not so brought down by constant worries. In the season finale, Pacey decides he is going to leave Capeside for the summer, and sail on «True Love». When Doug tells Joey about his plans, she confronts him, accusing him of running away from his problems, and without even saying goodbye. Later, Joey sees the words «ASK ME TO STAY» painted on the wall, and Pacey tells her that the ball is now in her court, and it is up to her whether or not she wants to fight for them. The day of Pacey’s departure, Joey attends Mitch and Gale’s wedding with Dawson, however she becomes more and more visibly upset, to which Dawson tells her to leave, because he knows the person she wants is Pacey.

    In the season 5 episode «Cigarette Burns,» Dawson insults Amy Lloyd , a film critic who is literally there to watch the movie that he and Oliver made. The film screening is a total disaster as Dawson tells Amy that she has bad taste in movies and he’s incredibly rude to her. For Pacey, again, his whole Dawson’s Creek Season 6 plot was a mess, and yeah, sometimes you have to fall far to rise like a phoenix, but Pacey never really did that.

    Beautiful young people in beautiful romantic turmoil was Dawson’s Creek’s game, and the series was in it to win it. Abby’s death brings up unresolved grief with Joey, who was never allowed the space to properly deal with her mother’s death. Dawson supports her and together they visit the gravesite for Joey’s mother, where she has never been. A month passes and, after everything, Dawson and Joey are relieved to finally be together. Dawson wants to do something surprising and different for their 1-month anniversary and surprises Joey by taking her to a French restaurant.

    With the success of The Kissing Booth films and HBO’s Euphoria, Jacob Elordi certainly has a lot more eyes on him — though that doesn’t change the fact that he’s a huge romantic. While it didn’t work out, King and Elordi made the decision to keep it professional filming the sequels in 2019. «Elle Evans needs her Noah Flynn, and whatever that means for my personal life, I’ll do anything to make sure the story … is complete,» King told Cosmopolitan in August 2020. Around the same time, she toldThe Howard Stern Show that she «learned the most [she's] ever learned» from their relationship, although she «couldn’t» date another actor again as «it’s really tough.» Dawson and Joey have been best friends since childhood and their relationship is changing as they’re starting their sophomore year of high school.

    Joey starts to feel nervous when Dawson assumes he knows everything about her. They have their first big fight when Dawson reads OlderWomenDating Joey’s diary. He focuses on the fact that she derided his talent as a filmmaker, but not the fact that he violated her privacy.

    Following their break-up, Joey wants to be friends again, while Dawson is devastated and angry with her for demanding a friendship. Joey starts spending time with Jack, while Dawson joins Jen on her party circuit. Dawson treats Jack like a rival, but Dawson and Joey mostly just try to take a break from each other.

    They share their first kiss and it’s full-on, intense and they’re both swept up in it. Actor Katie Holmes is best known for her role as Joey Potter in Dawson’s Creek. Before landing the role, she had few performances under her belt, aside from a high school musical.

    I’m telling you, we all would’ve been fine with Lorelai and Luke just being an adorable couple without this mess. Rahim treated Eric so great, but then Eric did him dirty by kissing Adam in front of the whole school. I’m all for Adam discovering his sexuality and growing, but I don’t understand how Eric could be with him after he bullied him for being gay for years. Sex Education is phenomenal, but this love triangle misses the mark. Never Have I Ever is one of my favorite new shows of 2020 and I couldn’t help but fall in love with every character. Devi, Paxton, and Ben’s love triangle is already so fresh and exciting, and I can’t wait to see where it goes in Season 2.

    Less than a year later, King and Elordi reunited for The Kissing Booth 2. Netflix announced in February 2019 that both King and Elordi had signed on to reprise their roles as Elle and Noah. Other cast members were announced in May 2019 and filming for The Kissing Booth 2 sequel finished in August 2019. She continued, “It was never like this moment of “Omg, I can’t let him see me like this.” You know what I mean? After the first month, I was like, ‘Hmm, I think I like him.’” It seems like this is when Joey King and Jacob Elordi’s relationship started heating up. I’ve known it since the moment we kissed, and maybe even before that.
